Warner Donaldson, 50, was sentenced to 17 to 23 years in prison on Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office announced. A jury convicted him on Friday of armed robbery while masked, assault with a dangerous weapon, and theft under $1200.

Donaldson was accused of the Feb. 28, 2021, robbery of a convenience store in the 500 block of Boston Road, the prosecutor said.

Donaldson entered the store just after 8:45 p.m. wearing a mask, black hoodie, sneakers, and latex gloves, waving a gun in the air, and demanding cash, the prosecutor said. He stole between $500 to $700 in cash.

Police used security video to quickly identify Donaldson as a suspect and arrested him soon after the robbery.
